About Us

Secure Networking. Practical Knowledge. Simplified.

Welcome to FirewallFlow — a practical resource for networking, network security, firewalls, and IT professionals.

We believe networking and cybersecurity should be easier to understand. Real-world technologies can be complex, but learning them doesn’t have to be.

FirewallFlow was created to share practical knowledge, hands-on experience, troubleshooting techniques, and useful tools that help students, IT professionals, network engineers, and cybersecurity enthusiasts build stronger networking and security skills.

👨‍💻 Who We Are

FirewallFlow was founded by Sameer Shinde, a Network Security Engineer with more than 10 years of experience in networking and enterprise IT, with a background in Electronics & Telecommunication.

Over the years, Sameer has worked with a wide range of networking and security technologies, gaining practical experience in designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and securing enterprise networks.

Areas of experience include:

  • 🔒 Firewalls & Network Security: Palo Alto, SonicWall, FortiGate, Cisco ASA and other security technologies
  • 🌐 Networking: Routing, Switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, NAT, ACLs, DHCP, DNS and more
  • 🔐 VPN & Remote Access: IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, GlobalProtect and site-to-site connectivity
  • ☁️ Cloud & Virtualization: Cloud networking, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, VMware and EVE-NG
  • 🛡️ Security: Firewall policies, NAT, IPS/IDS, URL filtering, SSL decryption and network security design
  • 🔧 Troubleshooting: Real-world network and firewall troubleshooting, performance analysis and optimization

FirewallFlow is built around one simple idea: learn from practical experience, not just theory.

🎯 Our Goal

Our goal is simple:

To make networking and network security easier to learn, easier to practice, and easier to troubleshoot.

Whether you’re preparing for a networking or cybersecurity certification, working as an IT professional, building a home lab, preparing for an interview, or simply trying to understand how enterprise networks work, FirewallFlow aims to provide information you can actually use.

We focus on explaining why something works, not just giving you a list of commands to copy and paste.

🚀 Why FirewallFlow?

Networking and cybersecurity are constantly evolving. New technologies, security threats, cloud platforms, and networking architectures continue to change the way modern infrastructure is designed and secured.

We believe the best way to keep learning is to build, test, troubleshoot, document, and share.

That’s what FirewallFlow is about.

We continuously work on improving the website, adding new technical content, building useful tools, and documenting practical lab environments so that the knowledge can benefit others in the networking and cybersecurity community.

🤝 Built for Learners and Professionals

FirewallFlow is for anyone interested in networking and cybersecurity, including:

  • Students and beginners learning networking
  • CCNA, CCNP and cybersecurity certification learners
  • Network and firewall engineers
  • IT support and infrastructure professionals
  • Cloud and network security engineers
  • Cybersecurity enthusiasts
  • Anyone building their own networking or security lab
